It looks like they’re doing it the right way.Layering on the hybrid brings the torque figure to 465lbft. As a result, even in heavier Land Cruiser guise, it's still nearly a second and a half quicker than the outgoing 4Runner. Not that these are meant to be stoplight racers, but it's indicative of the power on tap.Personally, the i4 looks anaemic for something as large as a 4Runner/LC. Maybe the hybrid part makes up for it though.
