I live in a European country (it is not relevant which one), and I will be moving to the United Kingdom in a few years. My savings are in euros.
Do you intend to return to your home country or are you intending to permanently live in the UK and retire in the UK?

Are your investments in tax advantaged accounts?

Investing from the UK may be helpful. Its aimed at UK investors.

EU investing is aimed at EU investors.
35% inflation-linked gilts
55% Certificate of deposit (I don't like European and global bonds)
10% Gold (I have a sweet spot for Harry Browne)
Do you hold any equities in your portfolio? It may be wise to add it into your original post.

I personally don't hold any gold. Its popular at the moment I suspect in part because the price has risen and some investors chase returns. Personally I'd avoid, especially at the moment.

Is CGT Applicable to The Royal Mint’s Coins?

I want to live permanently in the UK and retire in the UK.

I don't have tax advantaged accounts.

I have some stocks now but I prefer a more conservative portfolio.

I know Britannias are CGT-free investments. They are interesting, although I prefer gold ETCs.

Vanguard UK has a range of gilt funds. Gilts can be more volatile than a global bond fund.

Monevator - How to buy index-linked gilts I've found Monevator a useful resource.

Monevator - Which asset classes beat inflation after the pandemic? may be of interest.

Gilt-edged securities exempt from Capital Gains Tax. Only applies to holding individual gilts and not funds of gilts when holding in a general investment account.
