I have done well with income producing "Alts" in Roth IRA: $TLSX, $FDUS & $DMLP. In your referenced study, some how the authores picked the worse performing PC ETF somehow. BDC index ($BIZD) generated 2x selceted ETF, $TSLX 2.5x & $FDUS 4.5x.
