If you have a fairly simple tax return there is no reason to buy a tax software. I have been using FreeTaxUSA for a while and they handle everything I need for my fairly simple return.

Or a complicated one.

What is that FTUSA cannot do? Maybe trusts and estates and partnerships. But it's fine for virtually ANY 1040, AFAIK.
