There is no such thing as backdoor roth only contributions and conversions which together can look like a roth contribution under the right circumstances but the important thing is that there is no extended deadline for conversions so it's been too late to convert for 2023 since 12/31/2023 but you can still convert in 2024 and the sooner you do so the better although you might want to make your 2024 contribution first and convert all at once.
