That is true. But so would digital all over Costco POS. I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that the poster is a current Costco member.
Yes. The $120 Costco membership makes sense to get the 2% executive rebate if your spending at Costco is more than $6000/year, which ours is.
If it's less, though, not getting a membership and using the cash card bought with 5.25% cash back might make sense. However, it looks like you cannot purchase Costco Cash cards without a membership, so I guess that's not an option.
Spring for the 2% exec membership regardless. If you don't break at least even with you 2% exec rebate, go to membership and have them give you/ refund you the difference. Back very long time ago when I had individual membership and was not breaking even, I was doing this.
