Investing - Theory, News & General • International (Non-US) versus US Equities (The "Arguments")

Just to address this one - I went back and looked at the list of all of the 100% reasons in the OP. Granted it isn’t all of the reasons out there, but it’s intent was to document all of the major ones (as interpreted by the OP)

In my mind, all but two are variants of expected future ex US underperformance. ...
There's also a 20% int'l category, which also overweights US. Maybe you didn't notice that.

Also, the number of bullets isn't necessarily proportional to the number of people who hold those views.

Also, some choose an allocation without articulating a reason other than they just have what they have. That doesn't get reflected in the bullet list, I guess because it doesn't lend itself to a bullet point, and also because it could be applicable to any or all of the example portfolios. Obviously, there are some investors like that.

So we're back to your "most" claim being unconfirmed. But I still don't know why you think it's useful to estimate how many people have this reason vs. that reason (unless it's your dissertation topic or something). The list only specifies views that have been given, not proportions of investors who hold them. The latter is outside the scope of the OP's purpose. I don't know why you keep pursuing that.
