I know a lot of people on these forums use morningstar as their portfolio manager and hence was wondering if I could ask about a simple problem I am having with importing transactions into my morningstar portfolio on the web. I create a new portfolio and marked "track cash flows" because i want to track dividend reinvestment. Next I import transactions into the portfolio. However imagine if I had 800 shares of asset XYZ in my portfolio due to dividende reinvestment I have 1000 shares after 2 years. When I import these transactions I get the error message ""unable to import your data as this would result in a negative share balance". Any way to fix this?
