Could you get something slightly less in demand now and sell it later on?
Would a Jeep Gladiator work or is the bed too small? There are good incentives to move out any remaining 2023s before the 2024s get new screens. Off road jeeps (wranglers and gladiators) hold their value well, particularly if you count in the discounts available now.
On the full size, the ram 1500s are generally well priced and classic models have generally been a good value.
I'd take a break with something cheaper. Buy then sell when your ideal Tacoma is available and not crazy marked up.
