My own model, which isn't wholly dissimilar to tipswatch's model is currently indicating 1.3%, but just barely. Regardless, if I were purchasing more this year and I had the money available, I'd do it now and get the guaranteed 1.3%. Otherwise, I definitely wouldn't lose sleep over the difference between 1.2% and 1.3% considering the 0% i-bonds we had in the not so distant past...Only the Fed knows, and they will announce it on May 1st. Over at tipswatch, the best guess is that the fixed rate would be 1.2%, and the variable rate would be around 2.96% for a cumulative yield f 4.16%Can someone share with the fixed rate will be in May? Thanks.
Cheers.
