The way I look at it is you can drop the executive membership and get a refund but you cannot add it and get the Cashback retroactively. So, get the Executive unless you are sure you won't spend much over $3000. Normally I don't spend over $3k, but I never know when an appliance might break or things like that.That's really all that matters, if you're getting more than $60, then executive is cheaper.We dropped the executive membership because our recent years spending didn't cover the upcharge. Your mileage may vary.
We're usually over $100.
The $30 on $1000, is clearly not the executive rebate it's the 3% travel rebate for the credit card.
