Personal Consumer Issues • Anyone become "nomadic" in retirement??

Me. I am 50 and retired this year, more of a retirement trial than a full commitment to it, meaning I may come back to the workforce later.

I sold all my stuff, car included, and now I only own a suitcase full of stuff. I'm going to try it for 2 years, then reevaluate. I have some sense of it as I traveled nomadically between 2010-11 for a year, this was well before Airbnb and even smartphones were rather rare. Doing it these days is far far easier.

I plan to do slow travel, month at a time so that should make it manageable. It's really the high velocity travel that can make it exhausting.

Regarding mail, I use iPostal1 as my mail forwarding service and so far like it. I also use my brothers address as my permanent since banks require a permanent one as well.
