Personal Finance (Not Investing) • Is this a normal practice among real estate agents?

In Maryland I was told that you have to sign something to see homes. Whether it is something from an agent just representing you or the agent selling the house. It is meant to outline the fees and also to explain what dual agency is in those cases.

The bottom line is that when you buy a house you have to watch out for yourself. All other parties (selling agent, buying agent, mortage banker, etc.) only make money if the sale goes through so they will do their best (and maybe not best for you) to push the sale through. No matter how friendly they are, they still aren't always doing things in your best interests.
