Bogle was a great man. His advice was always geared toward what he thought the common person with no investing knowledge (and no interest in gaining any) could stick with. This made him an oddity and a gem on Wall Street. I think he wanted his message to be the most useful to the widest audience and he was always concerned about behavioral mishaps of said audience. Did he say zero international because he thought it was a terrible idea for all people and all circumstances? Or because he thought most people would bail on the strategy when things got tough? If I had to guess, it would be the later. If that's the case, this thread is proving him correct.This thread always cracks me up.
Bogle said 'NO' to international. A lot ignored him to their own detriment. And here we are
