Different brands, country of origins, and classes of cars, meaningful net difference to me is 0.
-VW, NAV/Entertainment unit died just before warranty ran out. $$, but replaced under warranty. Everything else completely normal
-Honda, Air Con died just after warranty ran out. $$, but no other issues outside of that.
-Renault, wheel bearing started to creek and groan, but at its age and mileage (8 years 60k mi or whatever) was pretty normal
-BMW, fuel pump died, but covered under warranty.
-Tesla, a cabin temperature sensor went wonky so heating came out wrong temperature, fixed under warranty
And a bunch of other cars I didnt keep long enough to have something happen.
None of these cars I owned had persistent problem or major problem that tarnished my view of its reliability. Had to pay for Honda AC out of pocket but one incident out of many car-years of ownership is nothing.
