I read Power Broker within the last year. I think it took about 10 days. Since it is a Caro book .. of course it's a great book.

Currently I am reading a sci-fi book, The Player of Games, by Iain Banks. I haven't read enough yet to form an opinion, but it is quite interesting from the opening. It does not seem to fall into one of the typical Star Wars type tropes.

Since you are in Northampton, MA (correct?) I will name names and you'll at least know what I am referring to.
I had an appointment at a dermatologist in Amherst, MA. On the way back I decided I'd stop at the Jones Library, which I thought had already been fully renovated. And, then go to Antonio's for pizza.
However, I was quite surprised to see that it is in the process of being renovated. I found out where its temporary location is and went there, where I loaded up on books.
I also decided I'd go to this pizza place, Athena's, on University Drive, right down the street from the library.
Normally, when I go out to eat while eating I'm in the forum on my phone.
However, this day I had all these delicious books with me and decided to, instead, take in one of those to read.
I bought my food at 2:45 PM. I left about 4:30 PM. During the intervening time I'd read the entire 291-page book!
That was definitely a new person record for me reading an entire book at where I was eating.
Also, if I am correct that you are in Northampton you can get any of those books via the Forbes Library as they all came from the Sunderland, MA library.
