Perfect for Halloween. This intriguing thriller depicts the actions of the United States government in the event of a nuclear missile launched from the Pacific at Chicago, with a 17 minute flight time. It does so three times over, from a number of different viewpoints. Scary indeed. One of the points it makes, I think, is that competence may be over-rated; no one can be competent to deal with such a situation.
Bigelow's movies (Point Break, The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty, Detroit) are usually worth seeing, and this is no exception.
