I just use the MM fund with the highest taxable equivalent yield (TEY), or alternatively the highest after tax yield (ATY).

For me that's FDLXX (Treasury only) in taxable and FZDXX in tax-advantaged.

Yes, Fidelity has high MM fund ERs compared to Vanguard, and even compared to Schwab, but it's superior banking functionality makes it worth it to me for about 1-2 months of expected expenses, and worth it to my family members who want to keep things simple by keeping all of their brokerage and banking at one financial institution.
Hi Kevin M,
Do you think VBIL in a taxable account is a reasonable alternative to your FDLXX?
VBIL holds only 0-3 Month Treasuries, May be held at any financial institution. Cost = 0.07%.
Thank you.
