Personal Investments • Should I bother with ROTH conversions for mom?

Okay, please help me with the calculations here. Her income will be about 106K from her RMD, SS, pension and div/interest from her taxable account this year. We paid 74K for her care this year and The LTC policy reimbursed 50K of it. If I take 24K from her traditional IRA, can I deduct 24K from her taxes for the LTC she paid for out of pocket? This would be higher than the standard deduction.

Thanks!
