Number 3 & 3a are essentially the same thing. So are Number 4 & 4a.

To give the best advice —

Any Social Security or other sources of income other than the pension and your portfolio?

What will your expenses be as a couple? How will that change when the first spouse dies?

My pension around $3000 & her freelance $2500
My SS will ~$2000 when ages 62
Ours life style simple and cheap ，most expensive is my 2 old small dogs (15 years old).
If I die first, all my assets & SS will transfer to my spouse.
