We really liked Monkeypod Kitchen. We went for lunch--dinner reservations were booked way out (at least, longer than we were going to be there).

Another popular spot was the food truck sites--lots of options, for both picky and adventurous eaters.

You didn't ask, but a fun place with your child might be the Whale Sanctuary. You won't likely see whales, although they have binocular thingies. They DO have turtles, that like to sun themselves on the rocks of the ancient fish pond. They also have lots of touch-me things (like a children's museum), including a very cool sand table my kids (ages 17-27) were fascinated with. It's meant for young children! It's also free, and they have docents who can answer any question. Your child could splash/swim in the fish pond--it has a very gradual grade.
