Just looking at the language with which you describe your life, work, and overall existence, the words you choose does make it sound quite mundane and dreary. I’ve been there with early career choices, and nothing was worse than that kind of existential boredom. But I worked really hard to pivot and go after things that I felt a strong sense of purpose doing, and something I had evidence for that I was making a difference in people’s lives. Since that time I’ve been close to burning out from overwork and had to recalibrate, but overall it’s been great and I’ve never quite felt the same doldrums or lack of motivation.
Money is not your problem; to solve this you may need to chase after something much bigger than yourself, something you want bad enough that it would deeply hurt not to achieve.
