I will have $3MM in cash after liquidating all assets in this Scenario. Where should a person "Park" those after tax funds when a USD and Stock/Bond Mkt crash happens? I know... Not Boglehead thinking at all but needs to be asked during these High USD Debt and maybe BRICS times. Thanks
If you really think that stocks, bonds, and USD will all crash and want to act on this belief, then you would want to hold "real" assets rather than financial assets. You could try foreign financial assets but the world is still pretty interwoven with the US, so it is unlikely they would go unscathed. Real assets = land/real estate, gold/commodities, small local/private businesses that would be expected to keep running in the crash situation, etc. Personally, I'd avoid putting more than 10% of a portfolio into this kind of stuff.
